Description

goal: Make the Directory site warming and more people-friendly by putting names and pictures of contributors on the About page.

1. Extend the user by adding a some extra fields:

  • image (gravatar)
  • Real Name (textfield)
  • external link (one link to the user's preferred space).
  • short bio (textfield)
  • role (taxonomy)

2. Create a (cacheable) block view of users that appears on the /about page listing the site staff/contributors

Not sure about the role here. Is it useful for people to differentiate curators from developers, active vs. past members?
We certainly need to display some users and not others, but do we need to group them?
Should we bundle everyone together that was part of 0.5 release as just names, and highlight current active-duty members?
I'd like recognize Alan Palazzo and others, for example, but it would be unfair to represent them as actively engaged.

https://drupal.org/project/rpx was used in citigroups. probably overkill here, but interesting resource.

Add people from here: http://projects.occupy.net/projects/fga-projectsite and also the curators and occupation registrants. It's important to be certain this is opt-in first. Perhaps this would live on the about page or in a footer? There might be a bunch of pictures that when rolled over would present the information.
